How To Care For Your Cards

A tool that you use for divination purposes must be cared for properly.

You are using it to touch and tune into a deep place within yourself, so you want them clean, protected, charged and used in light & love for the well being of anyone you read for with respect and good intentions.

What you give to your cards in care they will respond by staying energetically charged and clear for you.

First put them in a safe place, some people sleep with them all the time or just while they are training. I do not sleep with my cards, because if I do I am not able to rest. So it is a personal preference.

I have many different wood boxes that I store cards in, I use scarves, bandana's, special embroideried cloth etc...

I also have a large case that I carry several decks in that I use more frequently when I travel to do siminars  or to do parties or charity events.

It's up to you how and where you store them.  My cards are in my library, living room, dining room, bedroom and my office. They each have a special place when not in use.

So store them in a safe comfortable place.

Charging Your Cards

Next you will want to charge your cards regularly if you are reading with them or the energy coming from the could be flat feeling.

The  method I use is the Moon.

I like to charge my cards during the Waxing Moon from New Moon to Full Moon. This will help them grow in power over the full course of the waxing period.

Set you deck in a window one the night of the new moon and every night for about half of the cycle, then spread your cards out as the light of the moon increases, about half way through the cycle is good so that the light is able to touch every card.

You can use crystals to empower the charge of the moonlight and keep the crystals with your cards, because the crystal really holds the charge well.

Lightening Up The Deck

or

Keeping The Bad Geew Off!

When you read some heavy or negative energy, smudging you cards can help lift the energy away from them.

I also store different kinds of salts and various herbs with my cards even MoJo's. Ask me more about this in class.
